Sammy Homsi

Parmet PC

Before moving to Houston for law school and his legal career, Sammy Homsi grew up in the Austin area. He attended the University of Texas at Austin, where he graduated with High Honors, receiving a Bachelors in Arts in Middle Eastern Studies. There, Sammy minored in History and Arabic and earned a certificate in Ethics and Leadership in Law, Politics, and Government. Sammy’s interest in the law began when he interned with the Texas Civil Rights Project. His experience aiding victims of civil rights violations pushed him to pursue a legal career.

Sammy received his Juris Doctor Degree from the University of Houston Law Center. During his time at UH, he had the opportunity to intern for the Honorable Judge Lauren Reeder in the Harris County 234th Civil District Court, where he researched and drafted legal memorandums on pertinent legal issues. He also clerked for Doyle Dennis, which provided valuable and practical litigation experience and sparked his love for helping clients in need. Prior to graduation, Sammy worked with another Houston litigation firm, where he assisted longshoremen with workers’ compensation and third-party claims. Sammy cofounded the Muslim Legal Society at the UH Law Center, serving as their Director of Events and Media. He also competed on the UH Mock Trial Team. He and his mock trial partners won the 2021 Hicks Thomas Mock Trial Intrateam Competition.

Following his graduation from law school, Sammy returned to Doyle Dennis as an Associate Attorney. Since joining the firm, Sammy has represented clients from all walks of life and passionately works to earn them the justice they deserve. His focuses include employment law, general personal injury, maritime law, civil rights litigation, and insurance bad faith.
