Khaleel M. Qandeel is the Principal Attorney and Founding Partner at Qandeel Law Firm, PLLC. He is licensed to practice law in Minnesota and Illinois and primarily serves clients in the Twin Cities and Chicago areas.

Khaleel has significant experience in a variety of practice areas such as Landlord-Tenant Law, Estate Planning, Business & Contract Law, Family Law, Immigration Law, Personal Injury, and Mediation – among others - and provides General Counsel services to businesses looking to manage legal risks and obligations.

Khaleel has a broad and diverse set of experiences that inform his work as an attorney. Before starting Qandeel Law Firm, he spent time at a premier law firm representing Minnesota cities and municipal entities. Prior to that, he practiced at several highly regarded Chicago law firms handling sophisticated legal matters for municipal entities, national insurers, and large corporations in addition to estate planning, probate, family law, landlord-tenant, and real estate matters for individual clients.

Khaleel has also assisted emerging, established, and international clients with employment and business matters and has held numerous positions at the City of Chicago in the Office of the Mayor, Department of Public Health, and Department of Law. While at the City of Chicago, he focused on contract law, data privacy, HIPAA, public health, and municipal policy and handled an array of transactional, compliance, and non-felony prosecutions.

Khaleel earned his Juris Doctor (J.D.) from the University of Illinois College of Law where he attended on a full scholarship and graduated with honors. While at the College of Law, he was named to the Dean’s List, served as the Founding President of the Muslim Law Students Association, and won the Professional Responsibility Strategy Competition prepared by the University of Illinois Gies College of Business. He also took on numerous pro bono immigration cases as a Student Attorney in the Immigration Law Clinic.

Khaleel earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Minnesota – Twin Cities where he attended on several academic scholarships. He later completed his mediation certification through the Center for Conflict Resolution in Chicago. He is well versed in mediation and always advocates for efficient and cost-effective legal solutions for his clients.

In his free time, Khaleel is an avid cyclist and enjoys exploring the Twin Cities and Chicago. He is passionate about Legal Tech, providing pro bono services within his community, and finding creative ways to solve legal disputes. He serves clients in English and Arabic.
